That is one thing I think the base game could use is a chance of perma death and killable lords. Originally posted by kaiyl_kariashi:they're basically just premium modules.

I'd say it's worth it now, but it'll DEFINITELY be worth it after the reforged edition comes out.
Mount and blade warband new dlc update#
It had some pretty serious issues when it first came out, but that's been addressed now, and there's a new update coming out soon-ish, that will add 3 more story modes (can't remember them all, but there's a Irish one and a Scottish(Pict) one), and expand a BUNCH of the content. It's basically a more polished version of the Brytenwalda mod, since it's made by the same people. (In story-mode, certain scripted battles result in perma-death if you fall in combat and certain options aren't available until further in the story campaign). It has a storyline mode you can play, OR you can play the traditional sand-box style game (you can also tweak some of the settings to your liking. The combination of the new DLC and achievements adds even more value to the already expansive experience that is Mount & Blade: Warband.

it than it will be like installing a new game, but with a mod instead. But as mentioned it's much more of a single-player experience since the MP is meh. the Anglo Zulu mod for the M&B warband, DLC I shall be hosting server and you. Experience the thrill of Napoleonic warfare first hand - Take part in the invasion of Russia or fight the French at. VC has a ridiculous number of features over the base game, because the base game is pretty meh. Napoleonic Wars is a multiplayer DLC expansion pack for Mount & Blade: Warband featuring the final years of the French Empire’s struggle to remain the dominant power of Western Europe in the early 19th century. I'm playing Warsword Conquest until VC is more stable (and then I'm playing VC until the next version of Warsword Conquest is released).NW is multiplayer only, so aside from being based in the Victorian era of warfare, there's not much to it. I love what I've been able to play of Viking Conquest, but I would agree that it's more frustrating right now than it's worth.

"High" and "Medium" actually crash *much* earlier than "Very High". I can *almost* play normally on "Very High" settings right now, but it tends to crash toward the end of loading a scene. I've found that I either have to have textures set to maximum or minimum - it seems like setting the slider in the middle actually makes my crashes happen *more* frequently (my guess: the process of resizing textures eats up more memory temporarily, causing a quicker crash than just loading the full resolution texture files). FYI, my specs are similar to what you've mentioned of yours (funtoo amd64 current, GTX660Ti, AMD FX8350 OCed to 5.3GHz, 32GB RAM, M&B installed on an SSD) and I can play it for quite a while on low settings. Yeah, some people mentioned something about M&B's engine pre-loading *everything*, so mods with high textures tend to crash a lot. The vanilla game only crashes once in a while. I can't play this for longer than 10 minutes without a crash to desktop, performance sometimes is horrid unless I switch to the lowest graphics settings (world map is still awful even then).
Mount and blade warband new dlc drivers#
Only on Windows it runs bad, but I dont dual-boot anymore.ĭid you test if it runs badly on your PC on Windows? What are your system specs and graphics driver? I'm running this on Linux, 64bit Gentoo Unstable, GTX660 with Nvidia's drivers (346.22). Quoting: kshade Quoting: StianTheDarkNope. Online battling also takes on its own flavour, with special modes like Coastal Assault and Warlord. The DLC features a story mode with a complex plot, where choices have real consequences, as well as a standard sandbox mode in an all new setting, with expanded options and controls. Check that out if you experience any problems!Ĭheck out Mount & Blade: Warband - Viking Conquest on Steam.įrom the creators of the popular "Brytenwalda" mod, "Viking Conquest" is a brand new DLC for Mount & Blade Warband! This single and multi player DLC brings Mount & Blade to historical Dark Age Britain, complemented by authentic scenes and cultures. Nonetheless, it's exciting to see it with a on-launch Linux support! I also saw one review which said most of the performance issues could be fixed with an open-patch TaleWorlds released a few days after release. Many also state that performance is bad and it "wants you to check out your desktop every five minutes". Reviews have been pretty bad, with many stating that its a blatant copy of the mod Brytenwalda which I cant confirm or deny. A new DLC for Mount and Blade: Warband has been released to mixed reception due to it being rather buggy, but it did come with Linux support as standard.
